Level 1 (Beginners/Newcomers)

You have tried West Coast Swing before during a workshop or bootcamp, but you are dying to know more about this incredible dance! You want to improve your basics and technique, and learn more patterns in order to become a better social dancer. Level 1 dancers are able to upgrade their level to Level 2 after attending the Friday program, which consists of Level 1 & 2 workshops in order to get you ready for our weekend!

Level 2 (Novice)

You are beginning to understand the awesome ways of West Coast Swing, or have been dancing for about a year.  You want to improve on connection and timing while learning new moves and patterns. This level will give you the chance to develop quickly without the stress to outperform yourself during class. Remember, you’re dancing to have fun and to improve yourself, not because of the views and opinions of others!

Level 3 (Intermediate)

You don’t have any problems with your basics, you know the WCS fundamentals, framework, footwork variations and various more complex patterns. You are comfortable social dancing with partners of any level. You don’t hesitate to dance on fast tempos, but probably have sometimes connection problems during breaks and musical interpretation. You also want to improve your own style. For this level, WSDC Intermediate level is required or you have been approved through audition If attending this level, your WSDC competition divison will be Novice, Intermediate or Advanced.

In order to get the maximum experience from NeverlandSwing, please respect the Workshop Level Descriptions written above. All levels will give you the tools you need to add to your current level of dancing. We encourage you to come us to when the current class level is too high or too easy so we can make sure that your learning experience will be optimal. In the end, it’s up to the Event Director and Training Staff to determine if you can be leveled up.
